02/07/2012 | Supporting Porto Romano School and Kindergarden + "Travelling to Albania" Website

In February we visited Porto Romano School with new Kindergarten to discuss about further cooperation. We were given a list by the director, Mr. Hajri Nuhu, of what the School and Kindergarten need.

List of the school needs:

Toys for the Kindergarden

2 football balls for the gym - donated in February 2012

2 volleyball balls for the gym - donated in February 2012

One videoprojector and 2 microphones with tripod

One megaphone

Oil paint for the walls

15 buckets, 15 brooms, 15 mops - some of them donated in February 2012

20 pieces of white carton (thick paper), 20 pieces of colored carton (thick paper)

Office supplies for the School office

Copier (also second-hand)

5 pieces of wall glasses (100 x 70 cm)

We also spoke about small awards for different competitions (literature, math, etc.)

Work on www.infoalb.net - "Travelling to Albania" Website was restarted. We are going to create new CMS System, actualize all data and provide German Translation of the website. The beauty of Albania as a new tourist destination is already captured there on www.infoalb.net. Pictures are taken by the foreign country visitorsis.

At the end of School Year 2010/2011 we offered a financial donation to the hands of School Director, Mr. Fadil Elezi. The School Board will decide about the use of offered money.

By donating different materials we could partially fullfil the list of needs of Porto Romano School from September 2009.

In September we visited Porto Romano School to discuss about further cooperation. We were given a list by the director, Mr. Fadil Elezi, of what the school needs:

Copier (also second-hand) - donated in January 2010 together with voltage stabilizer and other materials,

CD player for music lessons - donated in January 2010,

20 kg oil paint for the corridor walls, 5 kg stucco for the walls, 3 paint rollers - still not fulfilled

6 balls for the gym - donated in October 2009,

7 pieces of wall glasses (100 x 70 cm) - still not fulfilled

15 pieces of white carton (thick paper), 10 pieces of colored carton (thick paper) - still not fulfilled

10 buckets, 10 brooms, 10 mops - donated in October 2009.

We also spoke about small awards for different competitions (literature, math, etc.) - still not fulfilled

We obtained a list of 14 best students and 14 pupils in social need for whom we prepared presents (school things) - donated in January 2010.

Work on www.infoalb.net - "Travelling to Albania" Website continues constantly.

Jan and Jeta took the first steps to broadening and professionalizing www.infoalb.net as a website dedicated to provide true information about Albania. Their ambition is to make it the first stop for everyone who would like to know more about the country.

10/02/2008 | Cooperation with Porto Romano School

On September 19th Jan, Pranvera and Eda visited director of the Porto Romano School Mr. Fadil Elezi and discussed about further cooperation. Mr. Elezi proudly showed us the new PC classroom, which was equipped with brand new computers by the Education Department of Durres before the start of the new school year.

The following day a discussion took place about what is most needed from the side of the school and what we are able to provide this time. We made an agreement on:

- A financial donation for the PC Classroom

- A donation of sport equipment (volleyball net, volleyball, basketball and soccer balls)

- Free environmental lectures and character education lectures (by Pranvera)
